  • A very enjoyable piece of nostalgia.

I am gradually acquiring all the Gerry Anderson children’s tv series that I watched as a child in the 60’s and 70’s and am loving the nostalgia!!! Watching Captain Scarlet brings back wonderful memories of very happy times.

  • Spectrum is Green

Hi. I purchased this Captain Scarlet box set because it reminded me of my childhood. Haha! The disc's are great. But the quality of the packaging is way below the standard I expect. The plastic covers are damaged and ripped in places. I would still buy from this supplier.

  • Back to the 60's

Back to my 'yoof' and growing up in the 60's - slightly more innocent days, but strangely resonates with the present. Not quite how the future turned out, but awfully clever stuff (ages before CGI - set me on the road to a life-long hobby of model making!). Blame it on the Mysterons!

  • A very good series considering age

This series was one of the in things when I was a child and I have fond memories, hence my purchase. A Gerry Anderson production. He set a benchmark with puppets. synopsis, signals were detected on the planet Mars and a mission to explore these was dispatched under the command of Captain Black of the Spectrum organization. They were seen and subsequently destroyed the installation. The aliens identified themselves as The Mysterons and they had discovered the means of retro-metabolism and rebuilt their installation by this means. They took over Capt. Black who became their agent on Earth. They had declared war on Earth in retaliation for the destruction of there Martian Complex. Captain's Scarlet and Brown were killed by the Mysterons in their attempt to kill the World President, which failed. Captain Scarlet was shot by Captain Blue and fell 500 feet to his death. Although he died many times over, Capt. Scarlet returned to life and became virtually indestructible and Spectrum's best asset in the war against The Mysterons. The adventure continues with Captain's Blue and Scarlet in the forefront. Buy the series to fully appreciate this adventure,

  • For those who need a gentle trip down Memory Lane.

Just as i remember, and a bit i'd forgotten! Enjoyed the episodes (without ad breaks) and the period ads in special features. Even the continuity errors are tolerable 'cause we know they are coming

  • Dark, Deadly & Desirable 'Supermarionation'!

Always preferred Scarlet & the Mysterons; that and UFO are Gerry Andersons finest hours IMHO. Thunderbirds is great, has some fantastic moments (same can be said of just about everything Anderson put out, if we're honest!!), but Scarlet (& UFO) just won me over with their darkness!

  • Captain Scarlet S.I.G

My husband watched this as a child and bought it to reminisce his childhood days. He wasn't disappointed and enjoyed. The only problem is the instructions to watch the rom on Mac isn't very clear and so far can't work out how to watch it. As a series, was great and spent an enjoyable time watching it
