Additional InformationFrom Nepal to Kenya, from Australia to Brazil, people try to cope with the changes that have altered their landscape, crowding them together and speeding up daily life. The film shows us these alienated people, but also images of traditions -- whirling dervishes and Tibetan monks -- that offer different, peaceful ways of existence. Shot in 70mm in 24 countries, this awesome musical and visual montage in the tradition of 'Koyaanisqatsi' expresses the global existence of nature and man in the broadest sensory terms.

  • Memorable, Unique, Best seen in full 70mm

Brilliant. Baraka is one of a kind, a unique work. The team tour the world with a 70mm camera and present us with a portrait of our planet and people. No commentary, explanation or voice over, pure pictures to music with numerous memorable scenes. A work of art, every film society should include it in their schedule. Likewise, collectors should have a copy in their library.

  • A stunningly moving work of art.

One of the most eloquent films I've ever seen; one that imparts a deep message, effectively without a single word. It has one feature in common with all great works of art: it changes the way you see the world, and perhaps even your place in it.
