Hi all, this review is for the DVD and movie.
The DVD was released by HKL aka Hong Kong Legends early into their releases schedule so the same effort in regards to special features and restoration quality is not as high. However the film looks good and menus are easy to navigate.
The movie itself is a watchable one if you are not familiar with JC and his pre BCB movies. The reason being the movie is so un-Jackie that for die hard fans like myself found it hard to watch. I purchased the DVD to complete my collection but otherwise it's not one most will buy and watch over and over. Alongside The Protector another USA JC film of the 80's that again used JC against type would prove the catalyst for for of his greatest works Police Story. So even though BCB is not as great as his previous HK productions there are elements that work and you can appreciate that if he had been left to his own devices it would have been great!
This film was out many years back and to me as it is to many still and always will be the best with the fabulous great brilliant Jackie Chan. This is a true always classic . It has everything that does make one very good entertaining film. Jackie has made many great films over the years . This is still my favorite.
