    Horror at its best

    This iconic film looks very tame compared with todays' blockbusters, but this version of The Exorcist gives the film new light keeping it at 'number one' in the horror genre.

    Let's put it this way I have framed photo's from this film in my living room two of which are signed by Linda Blair & one of them is the dummy used for the 360 degree head turn,that's how influential this film was to me,but I am a horror film nut.Best watched sober,at night,in bed by yourself if you dare!!!!

    Scariest movie ever made!

    It's been years since I last watched this movie. I have clear memories as a young boy when it was first released hiding behind a cushion as the story unfolded. Recently I decided to watch it again under the misguided assumption that a scary movie made 40 years ago couldn't possible match up to the modern technology used in cinema today. How wrong I was! The story is gripping (although far more drawn out than I remembered) and the characters are deeply engaging. The "jump" scenes are still as frightening today as they were during my childhood and I have to say that the special effects are as realistic today as grey ever were. This movie is simply a timeless classic that will never be matched.
