Very true to life
I just watched this on ITV 3 and was in tears, as this more or less happened to me. My estranged beautiful daughter suffered terribly from mental illness, and in the end, despite doing everything we could in the last year, when we re-connected, she took her own life. Rather than her daughter by a man no longer in the picture being taken into care, my wife and I have had her living with us for over three years now, and it's certainly taken some adjusting to, as we're in our 60s. My wife, my surviving daughter, my son and my granddaughter haven't seen this film, so I'm going to ask them to watch it, separately, on their own.
