In 'Proving Ground' O'Neill helps out on a training program, and ends up taking a group of fresh, young cadets into an actual combat situation. '48 Hours' has the team struggle to rescue Teal'c when he gets trapped inside the Stargate system. 'Summit' sees Daniel become involved in an act of political subterfuge when a peace conference is held at a space station. Finally, in 'Last Stand', the political manoueverings on board the space station become ever more complex; meanwhile, the Goa'uld threaten to invade the Tok'ra homeworld. Stargate SG-1 is the TV spin-off from the 1994 big-screen movie. In the roles of Colonel Jack O'Neill and Dr Daniel Jackson respectively are Richard Dean Anderson and Michael Shanks.
