This is a very hard match to find. I was very happy to be able to find it, especially on DVD and region 1 or USA. I also was very pleased that it was in it's original case.
Royal Rumble 2002 was a fantastic pay per view in the wwe. with 5 agonizing matches and the royal rumble itself. this easily could have been the best rumble ever. The pay per view kicks off with a great tag team match: The dudley boys vs Tazz & Spike. This match was a great way to start the ppv, all 4 competitors showing great ability and determination. Next the intercontinental championship at stake: edge vs william regal. again both superstars showing great stamina and charisma to give the fans what they came to see. Next the Womens championship on the line: Trish stratus vs jazz. this match was a good match with some good moves. Next The street fight between two legends The chairman of the wwf vs The nature boy. this was a great street fight match. loads of weapons were used including a screwdriver. Amazing. The final match before the rumble was The Rock vs Chris Jericho for the wwf championship. This match was excellent, maybe better than the rumble itself. Both superstars showing great athleticism and determination to get the wwf championship. Great ending. Finally we come to the royal rumble. this match was phenominal. The over the top brawl. Every superstar who entered tried there best to win and head to the main event at wrestlemania. Even legends returned for this match including mr. perfect who did suprisingly well. Im not going to say anymore about this match because i dont want to give too much away but fantastic match. In all with all 6 matches this could be the greatest royal rumble of all time. 5*/5Read full review
I really won't agree with the first reviewer giving this 2/5. This Royal Rumble, for me, was the last one of the "WWF" way of events, the best days lets face it. The event was full of big names, all time greats Rock, Austin, Triple H, Jericho were all featured. The Rumble itself blows the likes of 2005,2006 out of the water and is very entertaining indeed. Even 2003 delivered but I'd have to say the 2002 addition was that bit better. Triple H had returned from injury and this was to be his night. The atmosphere and ovation for HHH was electric as he entered and stared down Stone Cold (remember he left with injury when they were still the "Power Trip" alliance so it's interesting stuff tome) Jericho's Undisputed championship bout with The Rock was actually very entertaining, Jericho was an entertaning champion it has to be said. It was an awesome match, maybe their best match and Jericho retains. (as it should be!!) :P Vince & Flair's brutal street fight was also pretty good given the lead up and when doesn't Vince shine? To me, he's a classic.Read full review
The year of 2002 had just started, the royal rumble was the first PPV. The royal rumble match never disappoints but this DVD has other great matches: Chris Jericho vs The Rock Vince McMahob vs Ric Flair Edge vs William Regal Also on this DVD are extra's with exclusive interviews and promo's. Any WWF/WWE fan should own this DVD, it would be a great way to witness the last few months of the WWF.
Great event. Ric Flair vs Vince McMahon in what was Flair's first PPV match since returning to the federation after a nine year absence. Of course, the main event, the Royal Rumble match. Brilliant to see Mr Perfect back to his best and seeing a well deserved winner. Top notch stuff.
