Additional InformationWhen hard-drinking, motorbike-riding Rick Latimer (James Belushi) gets thrown out of the upscale high school where he teaches after drunkenly trashing a car with a baseball bat, he gets "promoted" to the position of principal--at the worst high school in the city. This is the kind of drug-infested campus where students carry weapons and teachers spend most of their time trying to keep their charges from killing each other. Before Latimer can bring education back into the classrooms of Brandel High, he must put down the school's top menace, gang leader Victor Duncan (Michael Wright). In the process, the ne'er-do-well pedagogue finds his own life taking a surprising turn. The film also stars Louis Gossett, Jr. and Rae Dawn Chong.

Cheesy but brilliant.
I've been trying to get this film on DVD for ages and have had to put up with a worn out vhs copy since buying it years ago. What a delight when a friend told me to look on eBay. Well,there it was in all its glory and going for a song! The temptation was to good to miss so I got it delivered to my local Argos which was so convenient and have watched it three times already. A proper 80's film with James Belushi at his charming best,great soundtrack and plenty of drama,comedy and action. The picture quality isn't totally flawless but that adds to the whole effect. I'm sure this copy will get plenty of 'stick'but now I know it's available out there I could always easily get another. Go check it out!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
