Product Information

Jefferson Smith is the idealistic leader of the Boy Rangers in a western state. He's chosen to go to Washington as a senator, although his appointment is far from straightforward. A political boss hopes to perpetrate a land swindle at a site called Willet Creek and has several senators in his pocket to ease his plans through. It falls to Jefferson to try and defeat the plan and also save his own good name. Co-starring Jean Arthur and Claude Rains.

    The democracy will prevail

    Having watched this film years ago I can say that this film is still right concerning the bad side of certain politicians. Mr. Jefferson Smith (James Stewart) is unknown and idealistic until some senators want him to be elected, and as a naive new senator he will never find what they were doing. When at the Senate he proposes a new project for the scouts, the Senator Paine (Claude Rains) will show his true colours and becomes involved in a scheme to discredit Smith with few others. Determined to stand up against Paine and his peers and the corruption, J. Smith take his case to the Senate floor helped by Ms Saunders (Jean Arthur).
