  • The Fury DVD , Twentieth Century Fox 2002 release

Widescreen: YES, Runtime 113 mins, ( original cinema release 118 mins , difference probably due to frame rate changes ). PAL region 2. This release has been produced with high image quality, far better than any tv or streamed versions I've seen previously, so worth buying just to have in your movie collection. ( I've not seen a blu ray version yet !). Great story, frequent comedic relief, Amy Irving never looked so good in her role as a girl with telekinetic powers. A mix of Carrie and Scanners, with a couple of quite effective shock moments, particularly the finale were natural justice is dispensed with ruthless 'Fury', queue cheers all round ! Good structure to the movie were it cuts between the shared experiences of the psychic boy and girl , and clever portrayal of the girls discovery of her own psychic abilities. Plenty of blood and gore. Plenty of corny moments too, but what the hell, it was made in '78. In all, a nice item to have in your collection .
