Much better than expected!
I thoroughly enjoyed this version and I’ve made it my mission to watch all the versions out there. I thought that an American playing the crooked Fagan wouldn’t work but this dry less smulshy version with Fangan going to the Gallows really worked. Also all the supporting cast including all the children were great with their very authentic sounding accents. Give it a go. You will not be disappointed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not the best but not the worst
Not the best version of Oliver Twist but by no means the worst. George C Scott is an unlikely Fagin Tim Curry is a hoot as Bill Sykes and Oliver's blond wig is unconvincing and he is way too cute Try the 1985 BBC 2 series (2 CD's) some overacting but is the closest to the original bookVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
