Reviews"...part rock-hipster anthology, part Dr. Demento album for music eggheads--SONGS IN THE KEY OF X is easily the most ambitious record ever assembled for a TV soundtrack..." - Rating: B, "...Foo Fighters do a creepy cover of Gary Numan's 'Down In The Park', William Burroughs joins R.E.M. on a new version of 'Star Me Kitten'...and Sheryl Crow's haunting 'On The Outside' could sell the record on its own. Possibly the coolest album in the unknown universe."
I bought this CD on my 12th birthday, 23 years ago tomorrow, damn! Such a great album, a lot of rare and exclusive tracks by artists who were into the X Files.....I think it shaped my music taste growing up..Had to buy it again for reminiscing and didn't disappoint. The Foo Fighters and the Danzig tracks are so good!!!
bought this coz i loved x - files series on tv. only 1st & last track are x-files. but.. this is a strange compilation you won't find any where else! its good, some big names on here, with lesser known tracks, inc's eno, cooper zombie & more. worth a listen!
