I bought this DVD to introduce new exercises into the dance class that I teach. Whilst there were new exercises and stretches shown, and the lighting and cinematography is excellent, the DVD is difficult to follow as exercises have to be done whilst watching the screen. I also found that better explanations could be offered. For instance, the female dancer alternates with the male, but at no time does the narrator explain that it is to offer a balanced portrayal for both genders, whereas watching it you think you suddenly have to change to what the other dancer is doing. As someone quite fit and supple, I found the exercises too short. The narrator never suggests we do the exercises for longer, although this could be an option on your own. I found this DVD interesting to watch - and it is certainly beautiful on the eye - and yet for me not the best form of a workout. Could be great for people who have never danced, I would imagine.Read full review
