I'd seen the movie before, but I wanted to collect the set. This one completes the series, and is, I believe, the best one of the lot. Well made, and highly entertaining. Could watch again. Thanks.

Okay so 'Highlander' is an epic film. Brilliant. Almost Faultless. The sequel was poor and confusing. The third was a disaster. But the main merit of both of them is that they can be ignored. 'Highlander' can still stand alone as a single film despite their pitiful existence. This movie though, apart from being a real stinker in it's own right, actually has the front to muck about with the original. On it's own it is a poor attempt to align the 'Highlander' movie series with the 'Highlander' teevee series. An inevitable cash in. But at it's heart it comprises of a number of 'flashbacks' to periods in the first film but this time including the teevee Highlander in the story arc. This is just not on. All the characters in the first movie that reappear here (namely Heather, Rachel and Conner) have obviously all aged a good twenty years from their first appearance yet are all playing parts that expect them to look the same age as they did in the first film, which really doesnt work. There is no mention of the existence of Ramirez or Kurgen or any of the significant people who helped forge Conner McClouds character. This is simply a soul destroying pillage of the original films story. Actually it *is* the original film, sort of. In 'Endgame' Conner takes on the role of 'Ramirez' and Duncan takes on the role of 'Conner' and there is a new evil immortal to take on the role of Kurgen. Only it is all done badly with wooden acting, boring swordfights and naff rent-a-baddie villains. Unfortunately there is just none of the passion, emotion or spark of the original. You just sit and join the dots to the predictable end of the film. This should not of been allowed. Shame on the actors from the original Highlander that were tempted by a pay cheque to sully their original work *looks firmly at Lambert* and I simply wish that I had never seen it. Unless you are a real die hard fan of the teevee series or a particular fan of bad scottish accents then really don't bother. Poor.Read full review
I bought Highlander Endgame because i had the first 3 films and loved each one of them, I enjoyed not only the actual film but the extras and special features too. It had an interactive game which took me hours to complete even with the help from family, it kept me amused for a while. It was worth the money.
I have been a fan of most of the films and the TV series for me was excelent. appart from maybe the second one which was a bit of a let down and confusing concidering the fact that we saw Sean Connerys head cut off in the first film... The fourth film has both Lambert who is back to finnish the role off, but also Adrian Paul who most of you will know from the huge hit series of the same name, where he plays the cousin of Conner McCloud. Duncan McCloud, a 400+ year old imortal with streath, spead and power not unlike his teacher and cousin, Conner. The action is great, the story isn't bad for a change and unlike some of the other films, is quite easy to underdtand. However I think for most fans, this doesn't matter as the Action is what we pay to watch and this film delivers. I would recomend it, however i say to those sceptics, Judge for yourselfs. If you want a thinking mans film, then this is not for you. If however you want a film with plenty of Kick Ass Action, then this won't disapoint. Like the TV series, it delivers in droves. For fans of the TV series, this is basically a spin off from it, but it does round the whole series off perfectly. In the End, there can be only one.Read full review
