Sadly missed singer
This is the best compilation album of Kirsty MacColl's work All the hits She was a beautiful woman who died far to young from a tragic boating accident . Her voice was unique ,and her lyrics are intelligent and insightful ,she sang about it all ,love romance,,relationship break ups ,and bitter sweet irony . I love the tracks A New England , and Days here version of the old kinks classic Also is the timeless classic Fairy Tale of New York ,with the Pogues If Kirsty was still alive today ,she would be 60 years old ,and I'm sure she'd still be active in the music business ,perhaps even reaching greater musical heights than before .Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

I knew more songs than I thought.
Not an artist i would generally listen to. But I know a lot of the songs and thought I would give it a listen. Found some very good tracks on the cd some i had heard and not associated with Kirsty. I am more of a 70s rock bands and a fan of the Corrs. Andrea sings a Kirsty song on her solo album and this is what made me buy the cd. Very good purchase.
