Reminder of Germany, from a time when there were two.
Another purchase to rebuild a lost record collection, at old money prices. This Europop synth of the Eighties was a surprise gem I brought back from Germany, having spent my 21st amongst strangers, at a warehouse-sized nightclub outside Hamburg, full of lasers mapping 3D shapes within smoke-machine clouds. The cover artwork is a little different for the original German version I remember. Hits include "Big In Japan" and the haunting sentiment of "Forever Young", one of my all-time favourite songs, taking on a new resonance, 35 years (to the day) later!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Forever Young
It was amazing to hear this Alphaville album again; that I once had on a copied tape around 3 decades ago! I was surprised how many of the lyrics I remembered. Listening to the album again and again like I did back in the 80's gave me a real nostalgic feeling. It brought back wonderful memories of carefree times when I thought I'd be "Forever Young"!!
