Additional InformationElvis Presley plays a young doctor who helps the poor by working in an inner-city clinic. When a Catholic group sends in a trio of nurses--who are really nuns in disguise--to help the doctor with his work, he forms an affectionate bond with one of the sisters (Mary Tyler Moore), leading to a series of misunderstandings and romantic entanglements. Elvis' last film before returning to live appearances
This was Elvis' last feature film before returning to live concerts. Elvis seems at ease in his role and demonstrates that, given the right part and a decent director he could act. It's just a shame he wasn't given the opportunity to do so more often. Having said that, this isn't a bad film and its heart is in the right place. It's not going to win any oscars but is a pleasant enough way to pass the time.
