The cool and competant Press secretary CJ Cregg (Allison Janney) spends her time deflecting awkward press questions alongside her cynical and sleepless Communications Director Toby Zeigler (Richard Schiff). They are assisted by the charismatic political animal Sam Seaborn (Rob Lowe), the fastest wordsmith in the West Wing.
