    Know what you're getting into

    If you're familiar with 1993's Undefeatable (perhaps thanks to the boys at Red Letter Media), then you know exactly what you'll be getting into with this 1992 B-movie. This is not a "good" movie, but it is extremely entertaining and never fails to deliver cheesy lines and genuinely impressive martial arts and stunts. Unlike Undefeatable, which had a vigilante Rothrock front and center, with John Miller as her enamoured police aide and Donna Jason as the supporting therapist; this time Rothrock takes a back seat to Donna Jason's kung-fu reporter, with John Miller as a moustache-twirling, scenery-chewing CEO. It's a lot of fun seeing the same group of friends(?) in different roles, though they don't fit as seamlessly in this earlier outing. The plot stumbles along, everyone in the world is a martial artist, and the quartet of asian sidekicks are straight out of a cartoon, but it lacks nothing in the charm department. Be aware that this copy of the movie was clearly transferred from a VHS, and the beginning is particularly grainy with a couple of tracking issues, but this soon clears up and you'll stop noticing. It is certainly not as good as the diamond in the rough that is Undefeatable, but this is still a gem of a vintage B-movie to enjoy.
