Low-budget monster flick. Wilson Friels (Brian Minyard) is an archaeologist who leads his team deep into the Florida Everglades in search of a lost Native American tribe called the Calusa. When the group discovers the gruesome remains of a previous expedition, Wilson admits that he is actually searching for a precious fountain which, according to myth, is guarded by a lost species of beast. Unfortunately, when they locate the fountain, the group members realise that the myth is actually a reality and they are soon fighting for survival against the bloodthirsty monster. .
