My sister bought Tumbleweed Connection as an LP in the early ‘70s, and I have loved it since then without actually owning a copy. Great tracks telling a story of “western” America in the 19th century.

I first heard the hit song, ''Country Comfort'' from this album, on the radio back in 1973, I was immediately impressed with the song, and so bought the album there and then. Actually most of the Album is also very good too, it was a bit of a gamble and considered by some as a sideways step too, but the album really took off. It was so different from the previous three albums,'Elton John', 'Madman Across The Water', and 'Empty Sky', but an 'outing into Country', as Elton described it paid off. I love the album just as I did when I bought it on vinyl because it grew on me so quickly, and after all this time it also sounds so much better on CD too. So good that it actually sounds like 'new music' now instead of an album recorded nearly Forty years ago
