WELCOME TO COLLINWOOD is a physical comedy wrapped in a rich and enigmatic visual package from directors Anthony and Joseph Russo. It includes references to old-time vaudeville, silent film hi-jinks, and grubby antiheroes similar to those of O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU and RAISING ARIZONA. The film uses an impressive array of talented actors including William H. Macy, Sam Rockwell, Isaiah Washington, and George Clooney, who produced this film with Steven Soderbergh. Excellent, touching performances by Patricia Clarkson, Gabrielle Union, and Jennifer Esposito also add to the film's cohesive group dynamic.
