    Stunning historical performance.

    This is the BBC film of Angela Gheorghiu's 1994 debut at the Royal Opera House. This was described as sensational and for once the hype is not exaggerated. She has everything - the voice, the looks and the acting ability. The whole performance is totally convincing. With one of the old masters, Georg Solti, in the pit the integrity of the musical performance is assured from the first note to the last.
