The Kick In teh Music Business
The woman who almost single handedly changed the place for women in music. This is where it started. I find that there is a category of music that captures the essence of England, not just just the politics, but the very air that surrounds us, that makes the tall grass wave & the limbs of trees dance. The woeful soaked by the rain, sat on a park bench with nowhere to go . There is an ambience & sometimes whimsy to the not always so Great Britain. Captured by the likes of Peter Gabriel, 70's Genesis, Pink Floyd & Roger Waters, that has had a great influence on Kate Bush, & that is the great place her music lives in. By definition it is "Pop" music, it's also "Prog Rock" ( without the pomp & pretentiousness ). "The Man with the Child in His Eyes" Was written & played by her when she was just 13! Incredibly, well crafted sound, thoughtful lyrics & production. These are the things that can be said about everything Kate Bush has produced. Original CD - sounds great
Most know the album so I'll just mention the sound quality (IMO). Was considering buying the 2018 remaster, but unsurprisingly Kate Bush is very popular at the moment so the price shoots up.
