Death in Vegas "The Contino Sessions" is a very good electro-rock album. One that people who usually don't like electronic music (like me) will listen to this without becoming bored. I knew this album a long time ago from the video clips of dirge and aisha, and only now had the oportunity to experience the full length of it. Aisha and dirge are two of the best songs of this album, with Iggy Pop doing a great job in the vocals on Aisha. I also enjoyed very much death threat, flying and broken little sister. Sometimes, here and there, I wondered why they didn't use more instruments and less electronics. Also on a down note my edition has a cardboard cover where th tracks appear in the back, but no tracks mentioned on the back of the cd plastic case, just a drawing - for me this is a mistake in design. First these cardboard sleeve's are not practical (I usually listen to cd's in my car while driving; second to put such important information only there - big mistake. Maybe it's no fault of the band but that detail is a very big minus for me on the whole album thing. Also, comenting on the music I would have Iggy Pop singing on all tracks or maybe having more apropriate vocalists. I recommend this album - it's very good.Read full review
