The Wrecking Crew at its finest.
This CD has two albums worth of music. The first is the Beach boys party album. This features the Beach Boys performing songs they did not write. The performances were loose and feature a lot of background dialog. It is more of a fun record than a masterpiece. The second is why I purchased the record. LA session musicians the Wrecking Crew played on most of the Beach Boy recordings. This album gives you all the music without the vocals. Here we see the clever arrangements of Brian Wilson. We also hear the excellent playing of the musicians who are called the Wrecking Crew. If you purchased or saw the documentary about the Wrecking Crew, then this is a good follow up CD to purchase.

It is exactly as described on the box, quel surprise!
Fantastic, always been a Beach Boys fan. First bought this on vinyl when i was a teenager, many years ago. Now remastered & packaged up with Brucey bonus of the live party album included & extra bonus tracks. Sounds great, sing a long with the original backing tracks recorded long before Karaoke was invented. Only one big snag, you may struggle to reach those high notes now!
