I don't think a long-winded review is necessary - this is Megadeth's debut album. It's incredibly raw, partly due to the lack of recording budget, but heavily due to the anger and venom of Dave Mustaine, it's fast and it's furious. It's a necessary thrash album and an amazing debut. Whether or not you prefer the raw sound quality over the 2002 remaster is down to personal taste. I would personally recommend both versions, but somehow the roughness of the original recording goes even further than the remaster to bring out the sheer ferocity and intensity of a debut by this passionate and incredibly talented group; awesome debut that already hinted at the edgy genius of Dave Mustaine.
