There is another band from Canada, alongside Rush, who are at the pinnacle of modern Rock Music.
In my humble opinion, this album is faultless and a tribute to the band, who wrote all the material. There is no bad track on it.
It is so good,I played it straight through THREE times, one after the other. I could not believe my ears. What a precious gem, an album that moves from track to track, in a seamless sort of way. From first to last, each track plays out and leaves the listener aching for more - it's addictive!
Then we come to the final track - the cherry on the top. Duane Allman is sitting up there in the sky and smiling! This is some of the best slide work I have heard and finishes off this heavy metal/blues album perfectly - then it's back to the first track and start all over again.
I can understand why this album produced multiple hit singles and went platinum.
My major concern is how I have neglected this band for so long. I have heard their music on sporadic occasions on Planet Rock Radio and thought 'that's good', It is only now I realize how good!
Fortunately, there are 8 more studio albums (including the album to be released in June this year) for me to get my teeth into.
Rock on!!!
