Just Enough Education to Perform is the third brilliant album released by Stereophonics. It was originaly to be called "JEEP". Guitarist Kelly Jones came up with the title after his brother came home from a stint in the army and wrote the word on his bedroom wall. Car manufacturer Daimler-Chrysler however had copyrighted this name so it was changed to its current title, although frequently it was known as the acronym J.E.E.P. The album was dedicated to the memory of Anne-Pascale Pleuchot and Scott Piering.
Realy enjoy the unique gruffness of Kellys voice a stand alone singer in todays same same bland world. Some realy strong tracks on here and a great cover of Rods "handbags" too. Stereophonics dont get the coverage they deserve for the sharp imaginative lyrics and sound they make.Dont think they have made one bad album and everyone knows at least one song by them great to drive too.
The Stereophonics doing what they do well, good indie rock. There are no really bad songs on the album but the 4 singles are the stand out tracks. A solid album but not there best.
I must admit I quite often look on ebay at the CD's just to browse really, I like Stereophonics and bid at the last minute and won at a very good price! The CD is great, the price was great, and I must say, I still like the thrill of finding out if I've won a bid! For a used CD I got a bargain!
Beautiful record of the best welsh band, inside the album there are beautiful traks like mr. writer and have a nice day...and other. The Cd that i bought on Ebay was like new.... perfect!!!
well as a phonics fan i buy all their albums the day they are released i love this album like i do all of their but if i was being totally honest i think this album is their weakest one not because the music is poor on it or the songs arnt good but for the fact its a very experiment album and not a very rocky album but it is easy listening and def worth buying but it doesnt sum what the phonics music is all about but def worth a listen!
Another mediocre offering from the Stereophonics. Yes there are a few good songs but I think even Stereophonics fans may be a bit disappointed with this spattering of talent. I felt like they think they have a forumla that works so can't be bothered to put any more effort in.
I like the clear sounds of music notes as well as verbal which means this group makes all there songs a sing along affair. It is SSOOO refreshing to be able to hear the lyrics without the verbal screaming! A very pleasent hearing experience!.
