I purchased this item because it was reasonably small, compact and just the thing I needed to sharpen my numerous pairs of secateurs and branch pruners. All of these tools are now sharp and ready for the new season. For the price, I consider it to be a very good buy as well as inexpensive. I look forward to using it for many years to come.

Because of its size it is lightweight and handy, but really only for rough to medium sharpenings have working blades. I would definitely not use this for an expensive blade or chef's knife as it is very rough on Blades. The overall build quality on the outside plastic seems good to start with but after some use it becomes very loose and the Plastic rivets pop out and once you lose the handle the only thing that is good for is putting in a vice and bench sharpening. But it was cheap and if you did not want it to do much work it could be handy.

This is the best designed pocket sharpener I have ever used, with just a few strokes on any dull or blunted blade sheep shears, scissors, pocket knifes, or even pruning shears makes the items as sharp as the day they were bought, also because its a diamond sharpener it can be used either with water or equally dry and with its long fold away sheath that also provides protection keeping your fingers away from the blade being sharpened. A very clean innovative design and so cost effective.

OK its plastic handles are not that strong, but the diamond works well, found it best to hold flat on a bench to sharpen, and sharpen it will. compact enough to keep in tool box or pocket. Great for touching up your knife blade.
