Works well and is heavy duty
I wanted to split some large oak rings and had tried various axe styles, then was recommended this type of maul. I used it with a large (10lb) sledge hammer and it worked in splitting the rings. Great tool, I split some really awkward ...
Great tool, I split some really awkward logs with this, using a small lump hammer they split well, on some of the logs I drilled a 16mm hole to help it on it's way. Worked better on dryer logs when the have a small split on the end. All the logs I had previously cut to 30cm legs to fit the log burner. When I use it again I'll use my bigger sledge hammer hammer.
