I have been a big fan of AC/DC for many years, and in all honesty I've never heard a bad song from them yet. As with all AC/DC's albums, both the early Bon Scott era, and Brian Johnson, you are guarranteed great album tracks. The Razor's Edge includes 'Thunderstruck' and 'Money Talks' two of my personal favourites on this album but they are all good. I am buying CD's to replace my vinyl record collection, as I have moved house and had to sadly leave the vinyls in my mother's care. Check out all of AC/DCs albums, you won't be dissappointed. The Razor's Edge and all their other music gives you that feel good factor. The boys have kept us rocking for many years and may they keep rocking for many years to come.
Yes the boys are back in town and running up full steam with this onslaught of their latest set of lyrics. AC/DC have offered us far more edgy rock than any other rock band has offered. And this album sees them still having that Angus Young sparkle that has made them stand out over the many years. The Razor's Edge album was released in 1990 under licence to EMI records. The track listing had some powerful kicks to offer the would be rocker: from the likes of the title track "The Razor's Edge", "Got you by the Balls" and "If you Dare", are just a few of the tracks that are on offer. It may have been 19 years since this album was released onto the unwhilen minds of the people who followed them........but, there new album 'Black Ice' still holds the same sentimental issues as all their previous album; with track like "Rock N Roll Dream", "Anything Goes", "Big Jack" and "Spoilin' for a Fight". Will these boys of rock ever settle down..........maybe not, but lets hope they keep making good music, now and in the future.Read full review
AC/DC: Brian Johnson (vocals); Angus Young, Malcolm Young (guitar); Cliff Williams (bass); Chris Slade (drums).Originally released as ATCO (91413). Includes liner notes by Alan Di Perna.AC/DC had been nearly written off as a shadow of its former pulverizing self at the start of the '90s. It seemed, sadly, that the band's best hard rock years were behind them and a younger, more able-bodied generation of rockers would be needed to carry the torch. Out of nowhere, then, came THE RAZOR'S EDGE, an album of startling potency. Not only was the firepower back in terms of gripping riffs, but the band was able to summon the focus to lay out its most memorable collection of songs in years. With "Thunderstruck" alone, the band shakes off complacency with one mighty swipe. It's an instant AC/DC classic, scouring the familiar terrain of piercing guitar lines, and a locked in rhythm section. The band also scored a direct hit with "Moneytalks," a pop-hook-with-a-wallop single that nearly matches the band's 1980's radio staple, "You Shook Me All Night Long."Read full review
