Simple to install, excellent iPhone integration and sounds great
I replaced the stock head unit in my 2011 Jetta Sportwagen with this unit. Installation took roughly 5 minutes. What a difference! Bluetooth connectivity is so much better than with the OEM unit. Completely plug and play, even the steering wheel controls for volume and track work. With my OEM unit only the volume worked when using Bluetooth. Carplay integration is seamless, so now I can make calls, respond to texts, listen to music and use Google Maps right through the head unit. Awesome for roadtrips. The quality of the audio is even a better than that of the old OEM unit I replaced. My son bought one for his 2012 Jetta sedan and the Android integration is just as good as as CarPlay is for my iPhone. Easy way to add VW CarPlay!
Incredibly simple to install - just removed my old stock VW RCD-510 and installed this in its place. No special cables other than the antenna cable that was included. It just worked in my 2010 Jetta TDI. Only cons are the AM radio uses 9 KHz steps whereas the US uses 10 KHz so it's pretty much useless for AM (not that ever listen to AM) and the backup camera gets enabled every time I put the car in reverse although I don't have a backup camera. A visit to my local VW dealer with a VCDS cable will fix this in five minutes. This is a great deal and a great radio - delighted with my purchase.

Excellent so far, but issues with cold weather of Canada
PROS: - Fits perfectly in Jetta TDI 2011, no extra brackets or adopters needed - Very cost effective - Screen is nice - Bluetooth capability built in - CarPlay built-in - Perfectly matches the overall interior of Jetta (same colour on button lights) CONS: - I am finding that when we hit -0 Celsius, and I plug in CarPlay, the system constantly reboots. It is fine once the car gets heated up. This unit may not be designed for Canadian winters (at least not until the car is cold) - I feel I have to speak louder on carphone, compared to the VW unit I had originally installed. Mic may not be as good as the original. I haven't heard myself from the other end (caller's side) so it could just be that the three people I called had bad ears? Works & Looks Perfect
The new radio looks great, it went in perfectly and functions amazingly. The only issue I had initially was that it was in Chinese after installation, but was easily fixed by going to settings and changing to English. 2012 Jetta TDI Sportwagen - perfect fit
Works flawlessly. I'm a girl, took 10 min to install. Wheel controls work workout am issue and everything is so much nicer now that I have my most important apps on screen. Next step will be adding a back up camera to it, but it'll be a while before I tackle that task.
