This is George's last album, recorded in 2001, the same year in which he died of brain cancer. I always loved the Beatles' music and I thought George was the unsung musical hero of the group, always having a keen ear for a good tune. To be honest, this is not the best album I have in my collection, but, for the reason I have already stated, plus the fact that I lost my dear wife to cancer just two weeks after George died , I decided it was a 'must have'. Standout track is the title track, 'Brainwashed' which is the final song on the cd. Unfortunately the rest is quite average, but to me still worth having.
Truly amazing album - Georges solo career was bookended by his best albums! It all started with 'ALL THINGS MUST PASS' and sadly ended with 'BRAINWASHED'. The first solo Beatle to achieve a number one!
Didn't know any of the tracks on this album until I bought it, but it's been one of the best music buys in the last few years. Excellent album and somewhat moving. What a great tragedy George died when he had so much left in him!
In my humble opinion this is by far George's best album(CD). Great writing, tunes, and a steller backing band make this a must for all George, or even Beatle fans.
The CD contains a variety of styles and takes you back to the 60's and is also up to date. A real tribute to George's work and memory.
