Reviews4 Stars - Excellent - "...another series of compelling ghetto portraits....It has a beautifully sustained mood of bleakly romantic despair...", 7 - Very Good - "...LETHAL INJECTION is the thickest, widest sound he's achieved yet--an intoxicating P-Funk brew..."
This album was the next release after 'The Predator'. Ice Cube (O'Shea Jackson) is ranked 4th in the world for MC performances.
The music is a combination of dance and gangsta rap, sometimes with a political flava. I have been a fan of Ice Cube's work for well over 20 years and this lives up to everything post NWA.
The quality is astonishingly good and it deserves to be held in high regard, right up there with Dr Dre's work. The music captures a time, feeling, that is still relevant to the issues that black/ethnic people face today.
Some of the work is tongue-in-cheek, and some of it straight, direct and resounding, but over all its a great addition to any R n' B rap collectors suite of CD's.
