The SKIM-2 float basket height can be adjusted using the dial on the front of the unit. Also included is a small filter foam designed to catch waste, avoiding this being pushed back into your aquarium as well as an optional use air hose venturi pipe that adds further aeration for your tank inhabitants.

Little bargain
Great little skimmer. I’ve installed it on my 400 litre as an extra to the fx5. I wanted something small just to keep the surface clean. This is spot on and only cost a tenner. A little skimmer with a big punch
Tiny little skimmer that packs a punch. I had a problem with an oily film in the surface of my tank. I installed this surface skimmer and the results were immediate. Its quiet and does a good job. Great adaptable surface skimmer
for the money this is amazing i even managed to set it up as a mini filter put a small bit of thin plastic in with the corners cut of so it goes in easy then a lot of 5mm holes so the bio max stops where it is then a small piece of very porous foam and finally filter floss on top to catch the surface rubbish just change it out every few days works great

Poor quality and not fit for purpose
The impellor is misaligned in its casing bearings and jams on a regular basis causing the skimmer to stop and required to be taken apart before it can be restarted. Unlikely to last for very long and not worth returning due to the value of the product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not fit for removal of surface oils
This will only clear surface scum while it's on. As soon as you turn it off to clean the floss the surface oils float back into the tank. May be a way to stop this but I have not found one yet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
