They look good on the kitchen counter and are easy to grab and use. The boards are slightly smaller than my old ones but I'm still managing with this size. The plastic is a bit harder than my old one but that wasn't dishwasher safe and this one is, although I haven't tried it in the dishwasher yet except to check the fit.
