Satisfactory Bait
Works very well on small infestations indoors, but you will need several units at each outdoor location and more bait for maintenance. Outdoor locations are probably very well established with numerous colonies. I'm at 10 days after using 20 units around my house and now need to refill each bait station as they are all depleted and the population is increasing. There must be many mouths to feed for those that were originally missed, plus eggs that have hatched since. Works great for small ants, but
...not as well for larger ants. The hole is too small for the larger ants to access it. I eventually poured a little of the liquid on the ground next to the stakes (several were needed), and slowly the ants started to disappear. A few years ago I decided to go with this method of dealing with the summer ant problem. Before this, I had ants in the kitchen every year without fail. But since I've started using these stakes outside, NO ANTS in the house. No kidding. I put these stakes around the perimeter of my house once it starts to get warm and they last all summer. I may see ants outside once in a while, but they never live long enough to come into my house. I ordered these to get rid of ants that one of my trees seemed to be infested with. I lost a tree due to ants a couple of years ago and don't want the same thing to happen again. I did replace them after a month rather than three months to be sure the ants were taken care of as it appeared the liquid was gone from the bait stakes at that time.
