Worked well for me, I like to take the pads out first and pump the the Pistons out onto the disks, which frees them up considerably then it's just a simple matter of removing the caliper and gripping hold of the Pistons and popping them out with ease using this tool, makes the job very easy a stress free.

These pliers would be fine....if..... 1) They were large enough for the pistons of single and twin piston calipers found on older bikes, and being older, are more likely to need to have their calipers serviced and have semi-seized or seized pistons. 2) The locking screw mechanism was stronger - the spindle is of a tiny diameter and does not inspire confidence in its ability to lock the pliers in place and thus deal with stubborn pistons 3) Instructions were included. Most people would try to use the pliers like a conventional pair and try and use them to pull the pistons out like a nail from a piece of wood, whereas in fact you have to lay them flat against the piston, lock them in position with the knurled semi-circular contact surfaces against the inside of the piston and twist them to and forth. Hopefully Sealey will upgrade their pliers' design to make them a better tool. I don't see these lasting very long in a workshop environment.Read full review

The quality of these is pants, bent and twisted the handles under the pressure of my hands and couldn’t get enough force through the piston to hold them and wiggle them free. I got 3/8 pistons out before they where so bent they couldn’t function anymore. The idea is good but it’s been poorly executed. There are other options on the market with a mole grip style handle which will be much better. 0/10

Maybe not the strongest set available, but to turn brake calliper pistons for cleaning those did the job perfectly. I’m not sure how they would deal with a sized piston but I didn’t have this problem.

Got this as a couple of pots were seized in place, not 100% sure how long they will last as needed tightening but to be fair they had a tough job straight out the pack. Saved paying someone else to do the job, its not an every day job so these will no doubt be used again when I strip the callipers completely. Would recommend this handy little tool.
