Both hangers arrived without delay and looked to be OK. On closer inspection neither of them worked properly. One hanger jammed closed and wouldn't slide, the other slid up and down and wouldn't lock to hold any weight. Being an engineer, I opened up the inside of the first unit, removed the strap, shortened it by about an 3 cm and refitted it to give some slack against the locking catch. That one now works perfectly. Did a similar thing with the other unit, but discovered a piece of molded plastic stopping the catch from locking. Trimmed off the offending piece of plastic and re-assembled the unit. That one now also works perfectly. The build quality of these units is faulty.

The pulleys are brilliant for accessing my hanging baskets once they are in place. I can feed and deadhead them without having to lift off the brackets. Just one small point is that the pulleys occasionally stick but with a bit of gentle persuasion they do work. Have just ordered three more to add to my first purchase.
