This CD truly is one of the bizzarest pieces of music I now possess. (Thanks eBay). It's outrageousness often overwhelms what would still be one of the more tasteless episodes in pop culture and music. The listener is will be hard pressed to forget "Hippie And The Skinhead", I know I've tried. In this song Wyngarde reads out a letter written to "The Times" by two Home Counties skinhead girls. It makes William Shatner sound really good. Perhaps you are as persistant as I and keep going until the tale of "Billy the Queer, Pilly Sexy Hippie", sung over an incongruous, Nashville backing. And there's even something for discerning lovers of late Sixties English rock as he takes on the Attack's "Neville Thumbcatch", written by Vic Smith. And Who can ever hope to forget any song with a title as romantic as "Rape!" The outrageous AND THE OUTRAGE are never far behind. Cynicism has a sneaking glance too and the cruelty of such lyrics as Flight Number 10 and Try To Remember To Forget to Forget are given such a romantic sound that on first hearing they appear disarmingly innocuous which they certainly are not. This was intentional with the invaluable help of Hubert Valverde whose music has the intangiable lyricism that makes a love song that is felt and seen when it is heard. This CD now has pride of place on my CD shelf Never to be played again, until ther neighbour have a fight at 4am.Read full review

This must be one of the weirdest albums I've ever heard but once you put it on you can't stop it until it ends! It is sooo non-PC it's untrue. In fact one of the tracks ("Rape") has been banned by the BBC. Highly recommended if you are looking for something different by a tv star other than an album of covers or ballads.
