What an awesome microscope
I'm extremely impressed with this microscope, the assembled microscope is quite heavy so a solid work surface is a must, construction is solid and very well built, it is very well balanced and slides and pivots very smoothly, it's very well designed and feels very refined in every way. Bought this primarily for microsoldering so fitting the 0.5x Barlow lense made perfect sense and gives upto 165mm working height straight out of the box with included accessories, pair of 10x/20 eyepieces supplied (don't forget to unfold the eye cups) they are clipped on but folded down! Instructions are poor for the assembly of the unit as it is partially flat packed for transporting, a simple picture is all that you need to assemble though as it is quite easy. Camera port was a must for me as I want to add one at a later date. An adaptor was included to assist with that but I will leave the extra port blanked off for now. You can by cheaper versions of this but if you want a seriously well built microscope this is the one for you, I bought the 144 led add on dimmable light separately but that was very reasonably priced and an important accessorie to have. Like many people searching for equipment like this, I did my research and soon realised that professional microsolderers all end up buying this model even if they start out on a cheaper version, so I just skipped the first part and went for this, it's easy to assemble and within an hour I was putting it to work.
