Neil Young live at his most feral. Loud screaming guitars and a beautiful hair raising version of Cortez. Love it!

My Dad gave me the Arc version one Xmas and I remember thinking how strange that he left the price ticket on.(it cost a fortune!) He never said anything. This album blows you away! You think times are bad now? I remember wondering if we'd ever reach the Millenium! Hard music tells the truth, Raw, heartfelt, passionate, angry and in Neil's usual tongue-in-cheek, deadly serious, don't mess with me, one note melodies takes you to hell, asks you if it's really hot and then shows you how it's gonnna get hotter and hotter. This man can tell it like it is, check if you are still listening and then ask questions. When the class is ready the the teacher will arrive! Get it, buy a soundproof Mercedes Vito, put in some reasonable kit, give up your job and courier for the rest of your life to this at number 11 on the volume control. And you wondered why there are so many white vans? Now you know! iPods don't do it, do they? Not enough space in your skull for Billy and Ralph's bass and drums relentlessly holding the line. I never did understand the Jawa's on the video...... Now Dead Man, that's another journey through the past!.Read full review
I have been a life long fan of Neil Young and love listening to live music. This live album includes many of Young's classics like Cinnamon Girl, Cortez the Killer and Like a Hurricane. But the track Welfare Mothers develops into nothing other than a miasma of noise. That aside this is a good album and well worth listening to.
Well what can i say this is arguably Neil Young amd Crazy Horse at their live bast, its very easy to see where all the Seattle grunge bands of the mid - late 90's got their infulences from the (heavily distorted) opening bars of "Hey hey my my" among others. Stand out moments include a distortion fuelled version of Bob Dylans "Blowin' in the Wind", the classics "Cinnamon Girl", "Rockin' in thr Free World" and the epic 14+ minute rendition of thr fantastic "Like a Hurricane". I have owned this album for many years but lost during a house move recentley, thanks to ebay I am now reunited with this musical gem from one of the greatest and most influential musicians of the last 30 odd years. Anyone who loves the sound a heavily distorted guitar and epic guitar driven poetry really should seriously consider investing in this album.Read full review
