Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Save on Vices
The 2 vices purchased were compared, and one was found to be sub-standard. The machined slides were assembled with burrs on both vices. The retaining metal strips for the slides were not parallel to the vice body. There is about 90 degree of arm movement of backlash in the vice threads, and there were high spots on the threads too. These vices appear to be sturdy in construction, well painted, and the vice jaws are ground. The retaining thread boss is of a plain bearing, so the retaining thread boss needs to be kept lubricated. A modification is required here to add a grease point iMHO. The vice thread retaining boss bolts were found to be loose on one vice and no lubrication on the vice thread. In my opinion these vices are poorly assembled, are not of high quality and definely cannot be accurately decribed as precision vices. I would describe them as general purpose mill/drill vices. If you do decide to buy one or more of these vices be prepared to do some re-work/modifications before 1st use, IMHO.Read full review

EXCELLENT ITEM AND GREAT VALUE. MY ONLY PROBLEM AS SUCH WAS THAT THE ALIGNMENT LUGS THAT FIT ON THE BOTTOM TO ENSURE CORRECT FIT ON MILLING MACHINE SLOTS WERE A LITTLE TIGHT. QUICK FILE FIXED OK SO OF MINOR IMPORTANCE. VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE

Accurate, well constructed and reasonably priced. Very impressed. Would have liked a handle on the end of the closing arm, but not a big deal.
