Fun truck but you will need spare/upgraded parts.
We've owned many Traxxas and non-Traxxas RC trucks over the years. This truck is certainly loads of fun and has some nice features but the big knock is the durability. Just yard racing (no big jumps or bashing) and we've broken multiple parts already. The Ultra Shocks, A-arms, and hub carriers are notoriously fragile in stock Traxxas trucks. This was not really a surprise but I thought perhaps they had moved to better polymers with this new model, especially given that it is so heavy and is 4x4. No such luck. Still, I would recommend this truck to anyone that understands they will need to buy spare or upgraded parts immediately. I wish they would at least use RPM-equivalent plastic parts from the outset. Pros: Lots of power TSM works as advertised roll cage is nice parts are readily available handling is very good Cons: fragility of plastic parts body is tough to get on/off automatic rollover recovery has never worked on any surface At $400.00 this is a bit pricey for the truck you get but with upgrades it becomes an amazing 4x4 stadium truck. Freaking awesome
It is full throttle fun for bashing, racing, and jumping. It took all hits, cartwheels, you name it. I would recommend upgrading to a steel spur gear and add fans if running 3s batteries. Otherwise it's the strongest rc truck I've owned so farVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
