Don't need to clean the cat box dailey anymore.
This works exactly how it is supposed to. Very few problems...in fact, I have to remember to replace the receptacle each week. Just make sure you use a clumping product that also says it will control the odor. When I first got my Self-cleaning Litter Box I just purchased a clumping product but I found I was purchasing odor products to lay on the floor. When I switched to a clumping product that specifies it also is odorless.......I found this to be really helpful. Almost...
i think it's made ok, it has design flaws though. i fill it to capacity with high quality litter, my cat's pee goes all the way to the bottom-soaking even the best litter. there is no way to clean the bottom (except to dump it outside in the bin & clean it there too). can't fill it deep enough for my big girl kitty-and she would like a bigger potty area too, because she is so long-sometimes there's a mess dripped on the rake or the side because she hangs over the side. the rake misses clods that are by the outer most rake tines. the waste container isn't ideal either. i still have to clean and scoop a litter pan. again...she is a giant kitty with a large bladder and lots of fresh clean water. it's just neither she, or i care a lot for the LitterMaid. i ordered a crystal litter "tray" from "Pet Safe". if she likes it i will buy the machine that they go to. i will keep the litter maid in the shed however, because it will run on batteries during power outs. that's the best thing about it to me.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good if you don't use it
The 3 redeeming factors of this litter box is: 1). comes with a cool rake that actually takes the "waste" off the machine rake; 2). allows a little deeper amount of litter; and 3.) The step into/out of the litter box actually works. The box is not any bigger than others as far as room for the cat. The machine rake is plastic which would be okay if it actually raked the "waste" into the bin. 9 times out of 10, I still have to clean it manually. (So why did I pay $110 for this????) . I have 2 cats so it wasn't practical as far as the removable waste containers. I thought I had done enough research but missed big time on this one. NOT AS ADVERTISED!
Unfortunately I bought this item but I did not use it right away, by the time I did I couldn't return it. It is nothing they advertise I have 2 cats ONE 13LBS and the other 10lbs and it could not even hold one day of waste never mind a whole week! I had to clean it manually because the rake got stuck and it spilled over the sides, this is not meant for grown cats maybe for kittens would work, money wasted misleading information, my mistake for not trying it as soon it arrived! I was a little bit skeptic about it, But it is pretty good!! We are really happy with it. Since most of the reviews complain about the receptacles and being noisy, well, my unit is not noisy. it does make noise but it is not harsh or whatever, even my cats were cool with it. a must have for cat owners
it eliminates the need for bending over and constant scooping- i have 3 of them at all times- the new dark blue color is a poor choice for the manufacturers to make- - it immediately shows litter dust and looks nasty- however that seems to be all that is now available so i can live with it- the plastic trays are hard to remove to empty- i removed the ramps to get to them more easily- a near by sensor vac is a GOD send for quickly removing loose litter that gets on the floor-Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I recently purchased this item along with an automated pet food feeder, because I want extra security for my cats when I am away camping or on vacation. Assuming that the fact that package for the auto kitty litter box was going to mean a lot of complicated parts and setup....I was wrong. The setup was way easy and instructions also a breeze to understand. it works like a charm and my cats did not need the extra time to get used to the new litter box. Everything works properly and it is a joy to watch the litter box do its work! I never thought I would want a machine to do my job for me. I enjoy taking care of my cats and always will, but this takes a little off of my plate so that I can have some ease. The auto pet food feeder is more complicated to program than this litter box! Large enough for two cats
This cat litter box is big enough for two cats. Cleans itself well but requires daily emptying of container. Containers are lightweight plastic and fill quickly. Needs thorough cleaning once a week. Up in the air
Just recieved.. After Long wait and shipped to wrong address. Box was busted up.. My 2 cats are getting used to it but it has a long wait period after they use for it to scoop...disappointed so far i have to manually push clean mode because i dont want to wait. So far not too happy.
