Great sharpener
I have been using a hand file to sharpen my blades which is time consuming & tiresome. I don't have to worry about that anymore. This unit has been great. I mounted it on a piece of plywood and set it up on my tailgate. Learning to set it up took me a little bit but now its really easy to sharpen different blades. I like getting a consistent grind each time. My only knock on it is the tool to check the rakers won't seat properly without pushing it down really hard. Other than that its great. Works Great
Just received the grinder and in just a couple of hours I had it running and already had two chains sharpened and rakers taken down. The machine overall is well made and with the videos and instruction sheets provided is easy to get it sharpening. It has a number of extras that make it versatile to use even in the woods as it will run off a 12 volt battery. I would definitely recommend the grinder to both the hobbyist and professional. Must buy!!! Wont regret it.
After the 30 minute learning curve, which they mad super easy with the videos and instruction sheet, managed to knock out 24 chains in a lil over a hour. I dont regret buying it and would recommend to anyone who uses a chainsaw more than a handful of times. Pays for itself it a matter of months at my acreage. only thing I would change is to make the two front knobs more precise.

Very pleased
Have been using this product for about 3 weeks and absolutely love It now that I know how to run and operate the machine. I work for a tree company and sharpen all my guys chains. So far I’ve sharpened about 100 chains in 3 weeks. After you get the machine set up it is very quick and does a great job putting a good edge back to on the chain. I’ve always used the manual electric sharpeners or a file and this machine is very quick and makes the chain even and as good as a new chain. Me personally I think the chain advancement adjustment is a little touchy, i would like to see it handle the thicker gauge chain and I would like to see it make a sharper angled down cut into the tooth. I have not used the grinder wheel to take down the drags yet but I am excited that everything will be 100% even and equal. Still learning but pretty awesome
I purchased this to keep up with all the firewood and construction the my friends and I use our saws for. I was kind of bummed out to learn that it doesn't work on skip tooth chains (that's on me for not doing the research). I love that I can take it any where and set it up. I learned the hard way that you need to have the unit level. I mount to the bed of my Kawasaki Mule when we're working in the woods. If the grinder is not level the drive teeth will climb out and you will cut a cutting tooth off your brand new 3/8" chain😖. Another thing we learned is that some of the battery powered chainsaw chains are too narrow to trigger the proximity sensor so the head will not turn to the opposing angle and you will cut teeth off. I ran a couple chains through right out of the box to see how well things were set up. The major thing you need to check is offset. Easy to use and very cost effective
I had the tool out of the box and set up and working in about 30 minutes the instructions are very clear in plain easy to follow language but even before it arrived I had a pretty good working knowledge of it based on the on line videos. So far I have only used it on "garbage" chains that I thought were ready for scrap boy was I wrong.This is going to extend chain life immensely and was worth every penny I paid and then some.My only complaint is that I had all of my old chains sharpened and ready to go in about 10 minutesVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great sharpener
I absolutely hate sharpening chainsaw chains so I was very excited to purchase this sharpener. It works great, but make sure you verify that it is compatible with your chains. I have 3 Stihl chainsaws: an 025, an 029 super, and an MS460. Both the 025 and 029 had 0.063" guage chains. Fortunately I was able to put 0.050" chains on both saws, but I had to put new bars and drive sprockets on as well. Aside from that initial hiccup the sharpener works flawlessly, and it is much faster and more convenient than sharpening with a file or manual grinder. I still give this sharpener 5 stars because it works fantastic, and it was my fault for not verifying my chain sizes beforehand.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
