    Nice unit, well thoughtout features.

I've been needing a generator for awhile and this latest round of BS in California pushed me to buy one. The control panel is nicely layed out and all outlets have rubber covers and the push buttons are sealed with clear rubber. The fuel inlet has a nicely designed rubber shroud that is sloped off to one side incase of over filling. The generator ran perfectly smooth right out of the box and throughout the breakin process. Powered a heat gun, space heater, toaster, and iron at different intervals during breakin. Generator ran great. The only reason I gave it 4 ⭐is because it's a pain to change the oil. A aftermarket drain valve would help the situation a little. Some things I added after reading other reviews was a magnetic dipstick and hrs meter. Hopefully with a good breakin, synthetic oil, and fuel stabilizer it will last as long as a Honda 🤞

  • Most critical review

Put fuel in it connected the battery and started right up.8/14/19 still on the first tank of fuel, third time I tried to use it and now it won’t run

Only ran for a few hours. Tech support unable to resolve the issue. So I guess it’s junk!

  • Solid, quiet generator with great features

This is a good generator for RV use. Runs everything in the trailer including AC and microwave at the same time. Starts first time, every time. Runs quiet. Pros: - Runs for longer than 12 hours on full tank at minimal draw - Very quiet. Almost as quiet as my 2400W Yamaha generator - Lots of power - Remote start. No need to leave the trailer to start generator Cons: - Have to remove outer panel to change oil (about 20 bolts). Not very convenient. - Only one transmitter provided. 2 should be provided - Handle tends to rattle when running in fully retracted position. Extending handle stopped the rattle - No fuel gauge - No power output gauge Very good value for the money.

  • Great quite inverter/generator at a budget price.

Several things I looked for when searching for a generator. I needed at least 3,500 watts. I needed a quite one. I preferred a inverter/generator. While not necessary electric start would be nice. I spent a couple months comparing price to value. The Honda’s are great but way out of my budget. I kept narrowing them down and reading reviews until I chose the Pulsar 4000. It had everything I wanted and more. Found it at $676.00 with free shipping. I did spend $60.00 for a 2 year unconditional warranty. Received it about 4 business days after I ordered it. Uncreated it poured the oil in , plugged up the battery and filled with gas. About 20 minutes to do what was needed. Turn the power on and within 3 seconds it was running smooth and quite. Have ran it through break in of about 5 hours. Powered it up and it simply does what it’s suppose to do. At 1/3 the price of a 3,000 watt Honda. It powers the microwave and hot water heater at the same time no problem. It will power my small 9000 BTU marine air no problem but it will not start my 16,000 BTU marine air even with nothing else on.

  • Great

I chose this inverted generator because it was a little bigger than other brands. From the research I did I thought this was the best deal by far. It was bigger than the Honda and the champion which was good because I was a little worried about what would happen when I ran my air conditioner on the camper. It handled it no problem I actually put it on eco mode and it throttled down. Gas tank is twice the size compared to the Honda and the champion as well. So this thing will run the ac all day no problem. Also this one was much cheaper which is a plus. And it has electric start and a remote. It has a handle that extends out when you want to move it like a suit case it works great. I was a little confused when trying to start it for the first time. I put oil in it. I put gas in it. But couldn’t get it to start. The electric start worked great so the battery was in great condition. But is would not start. Turns out the gas knob if you turn it all the way on it acts as choke but if you turn it all the way off it shuts the gas off. So idk I just turned it a little bit bit and it stared and sounded great. So I was a little confused by that but it’s just the way it is I guess? I think this generator is the way to go. Also very quiet which is another thing I was worried about. Especially in eco mode. I would not hesitate to run this at a camp ground. I don’t think anyone would notice it’s running.

  • Good product but room for a little improvement.

I like the generator however changing the oil is way more difficult than it should be. A simpler method should be designed without having to remove exterior panels. Also a contactor should be added to remotely cut on/off battery power. What good does a remote start do for you if you have to go out to the generator to turn it on or off. The generator runs well and is quite. Fuel consumption is good. Except for the two comments above I'm happy with the product.

  • Nice generator but struggles at the 3500 watt rating.

I purchased this generator because it was supposed to be able to run 3500 watts, just like my champion 4000/3500 generator but would be quieter. I have an automatic transfer switch in the trailer which switches over to generator when it is running. I have an RV air conditioner that the Champion ran no problem. The Pulsar will not run a "smart" battery charger or the A/C thru the transfer switch. It will run them straight off the Pulsar itself but struggles with the A/C and runs HOT.

  • Very good generator

Bought this Pulsar Inverter Generator in December, 2018. So far it has performed great but I have only run it for the 5 hour break in period. Love the remote starter. All you have to do is hit the button and it does the rest. If it doesn't start the first try it waits a moment and re-tries on it's own. The only negative thing I can say is it does not come with an hour meter. I had to install my own.

  • Great little machine and quiet

Very happy with this product. Put the oil in connecting the battery and it started right up. Powers my RV trailer just like I wanted it to. Would give it five stars if the remote start had worked. Remote is not a game changer for me though.

  • Camping

We spend about 2 months a year in South Florida. The R V park doesn’t have all full hookups so we have to use a generator for the a/c and to charge the batteries. This generator is quiet and its really convenient not having to go outside to start the generator for the morning cup of coffee or to go out at 11 pm to turn it off for quiet time.
