FILL YER BOOTS!
I’ve used various brands of body filler over the past 50 years or so. My favourite was always Plastic Padding, the very first one that I used on the rotten rear arches of my Hillman Husky, 1961 vintage. Sadly, P.P. appears to have disappeared from the shelves, so I gave UPOL a try. For me, it’s now taken over where P.P. left off. It’s easy to mix, adheres incredibly well, very easy to sand, mould and all this at an unbelievably low price. I would highly recommend, not just for metal repairs, but timber, too! Forget putty
For years I used putty for windows which takes a long time to apply and only lasts a couple of years. Upol is the way forward so quick to apply provided you know what you are doing and lasts and lasts. I would not recommend it fo Bill Bodger.
