Solid Furniture at a Great Price
This desk had the best pre-fab manufacturing I've ever seen in a put-it-together-yourself piece of furniture. All the assembly holes were placed perfectly, there were threaded inserts in the desktop and the riser for the tension-bearing screws and cams (for the riser). The assembled unit is solid even when empty. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. Hardware is well labeled. This comes in two HEAVY boxes, so you'll need help receiving it. It was TRIPLE- BOXED and edges were well protected - there was no shipping damage. You will also need two people to set it upright when assembled - again, heavy! It has clean lines, looks great, and holds a lot of rack equipment. I didn't install the upper sliding keyboard tray. Instead I installed rails for another 5U of rack space.(See the first photo.) I have found the holes in the rack brackets are not so accurately drilled. Some combinations of holes simply don't line up with the rack gear. I was able to get everything to mount but not always with four screws. (This was primarily with the 5U rack below the shelf. See the second photo.)
